How We Make Money

RedLightAsia is free to read, and we'd rather you know exactly how it's paid for than wonder.

Right now our dating pages earn nothing. Every app link on them is a plain link: we get no commission, no referral fee and no free upgrade when you click or sign up. We list the apps people actually use and describe them as we find them, including what's free, what costs money and what to watch out for.

Later, some pages may carry paid offers, such as visa help or a profile verification service. When they do, each one will be clearly marked as paid, kept apart from our own write-ups, and disclosed before the first paid link on the page. A paid offer will never change which apps we list, the order we put them in, or what we say about them.

Our venue guides work the same way. No venue pays to be listed, and no venue can pay for a better write-up. If we offer featured spots to venues in the future, they'll be labelled as featured, and venues that don't pay will stay listed on the same terms.

Prices and facts on our pages are researched online and dated, so you can see how fresh they are. If you spot something wrong, or want to ask how we earn money, use our contact form.
